By the end of Chapter 2, you'll know the basic ins and outs of our WICED IDE. In this Chapter, we're diving into the technology and expanding on the CYW943907AEVALF1 Evaluation Kit with the WICED environment. You'll be going through exercises including surveying the WICED ecosystem, using the MCU peripherals, exploring the WICED library, and more!
In the Introduction video for WICED® Wi-Fi® 101 Lesson 2, you’ll hear from our IoT expert Alan Hawse. To create an IoT device you need to be able to do two things: (1) read and write data from/to the physical world (e.g. read sensor data, write to a display); and (2) send and receive the data to/from the cloud. Lesson 2 focusses on the 1st task while the 2nd task will be covered in future lessons.

The platforms in WICED studio contain the board support package – in other words, everything you’ll need to be successful in programming a kit or your custom board from WICED Studio.
